As one of America’s leading liberal arts colleges, Haverford is a close-knit, non-sectarian intellectual community located on a beautiful 200-acre campus 10 miles west of Philadelphia. Founded in 1833 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), the College promotes student development through an environment that emphasizes individual dignity, academic rigor and a critical engagement with society and fosters mutual respect and collaboration among students, faculty and staff.
