As an Employment Specialist, you will help 16-20 individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders to choose, find and keep employment in order to enhance their quality of life and increase their independence. You will help job seekers to identify their job interests and skills, advocate within the business community for employment opportunities, and provide on-the-job coaching to ensure their success at the job. You will also coordinate with your clients’ clinicians and families to promote their recovery and work with them as a treatment team to help your client make steps towards their professional goals.
