UX/UI Design Internship - Summer 2020
WHAT IS CARICLUB?
CariClub is an online platform strategically positioned at the intersection of corporate citizenship and professional networking. The company helps firms align with their millennial workforce and subsequently helps firms attract, retain and develop their top talent and next generation of leaders. CariClub does this by giving young professionals access to philanthropic leadership opportunities, specifically associate board positions with well-known nonprofits and foundations. Since launching in August 2015 CariClub has partnered with nearly 1,000 of today's top nonprofits and foundations to place young professionals on their associate boards. Headquartered in New York City with plans for global expansion, CariClub is reimagining what it means to give back and get involved for the millennial generation.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
CariClub is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented UX/UI design intern who is passionate about harnessing technology for good. An ideal candidate is very experienced in Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). CariClub is looking for a confident candidate with outstanding organizational and leadership skills -- we encourage our interns to take on initiative and leave a big impact through hands-on experience! We want you to be process oriented, have attention to detail, ask thoughtful questions, and bring suggestions to the table.
WHAT'S THE TEAM LIKE?
We’re a collaborative, approachable, passionate, and nimble team of 6 full-time employees. If you’ve got quick wit, read interesting stuff (books, news, blogs, etc) have incredible drive and are seeking to make an impact in the world, you’ll fit right in!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- CariClub's design intern will have an incredible impact on all company messaging and positioning
- Design and update promotional, sales, and marketing materials (both online and physical)
- Communicate directly with our PR company to coordinate all outbound messaging
- Brainstorm and develop long-term communication strategies and creative marketing initiatives
- A/B Test user interface to improve user engagement
- Share your feedback on how to grow CariClub's community and improve brand awareness
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in NYC for a full 8-week internship (can be flexible with start/end date)
- Strong desire to take on initiative, outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Experience using Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Additional experience with tools such as Sketch, Figma, MailChimp or MixedPanel is a plus!
- Team Player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in tech startups, business, and philanthropy
WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
You'll work Monday-Friday 9-5pm. If you're the right fit for us, we can certainly be flexible with work schedule to make your schedule work. Our office is conveniently located right in SoHo.
WILL I RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT?
Yes! You will gain a wealth of knowledge in startup sales, structure, development, and product. We will be sure to provide any necessary documentation for you to receive credit for your time here.
WHAT COULD THIS LEAD TO?
Backed by renowned investors, CariClub just officially closed its seven-figure seed round and is set to expand over the next 12 months. We will be hiring and if you demonstrate incredible initiative, have new and interesting ideas and are a seamless fit, this could very well translate into a full-time opportunity in the future.
